Our vision for children and young people
Children and Young People's Trust
The Children and Young People’s Trust brings together people from local agencies such as education, health, social services, the police and the voluntary sector to reduce duplication and improve coordination when it comes to delivering services for children and young people in the borough.
The vision for the trust is to have excellent integrated services to support children, young people, adults and families. Our overwhelming goal is to achieve the best outcomes for the children and young people so that they:
- are as healthy as possible and lead healthy lives
- are safe
- enjoy learning and life and achieve to their potential
- make a contribution to their community and participate in decisions that affect them
- achieve economic well-being
The Trust has the support and commitment of senior officers of the council and other agencies who make up the Children and Young People’s Trust Board. This board is responsible for agreeing priorities, commissioning services for children and young people and monitoring the effectiveness of our work in improving the outcomes for children and young people.
