Child protection enquiries

Interviewing you and your child

In order to assess your child's needs we will need to meet with you and your child.  We will usually seek your permission to speak to your child alone.   If you don't want your child to do this, you should tell us why not - we may then take legal advice on how to proceed.

When we speak to you, it's your chance to tell us what you're going to do about the concerns. We can then discuss what happens next.  Interpreters who understand the child protection system can be booked if English isn't your first language - just let us know.
