Charity and registered community amateur sports club relief
Charities and amateur community sports clubs can apply for relief of up to 80 per cent if a property is used for charitable purposes.
If you qualify you can also apply for discretionary relief on top of the 80 per cent discount. We sometimes give charities or sports clubs up to another 20 per cent relief.
We will consider each case independently but we have also drawn up guidelines to ensure consistency and fairness. Generally we encourage you to apply for discretionary relief if you are:
- an association for the disabled
- an advice and counselling organisation
- a youth organisations
