You must register a birth within 42 days
Before you register
If your baby was born in Kingston you will need to book an appointment using our online form to register the birth.
If your baby was not born in Kingston, find the correct register office on GOV.UK.
You need to:
Make sure you follow the guidance on GOV.UK before booking an appointment with us. If not, we will not be able to complete the registration.
Book an appointment online
Appointments are available Monday to Friday, 9am to 4pm at Kingston Register Office. If you cannot attend on a weekday, email registrars@kingston.gov.uk to ask about availability on Saturday mornings.
Cost
Birth certificates cost £11 each and are available to order when you book your appointment online. You will need a credit or debit card to make a payment.
You will receive a booking confirmation email when payment has been made.
