Fees for pre-application planning advice

Fees are different and based on the type of pre-application advice you want. You can start the pre-application advice form and answer questions to calculate the cost without submitting it.

All fees below include VAT.

Householder developments

Your work will be called a householder development if it’s for:

  • extensions
  • lofts
  • windows
  • porches
  • garages
  • outbuildings
  • walls and fences
  • hard standings and access for vehicles
  • satellite dishes

Concept meeting with officers

We recommend a concept meeting before major proposals. It costs £750 for a meeting to discuss principles and procedures for a proposed development without follow-up correspondence.

If your proposal is very large or complex

If your proposal is for:

  • 100 dwellings or more (including conversions)
  • 10,000 square metres of floor space or more
  • a hectare or more of land
  • a development that requires an Environmental Impact Assessment

We recommend that you email development.management@kingston.gov.uk for a bespoke package. Our prices start at £10,000 and are on arrangement.
