Learning disabilities

Further Information

The Royal Borough of Kingston is working with Achieving for Children, Kingston CCG and others to improve the lives of children, young people and adults with learning disabilities.

You can find out about our plans for the future in our All Age Learning Disability Strategy.  The strategy is based on our Joint Strategic Needs Assessment which tells you everything about what it is like to have a learning disability in Kingston.  You can find out more at our dedicated website.

We are working with Healthwatch to implement our strategy who chairs the All Age Learning Disability Partnership.

Information about support for children and young people with learning disabilities is held on the Local Offer website.

People with learning disabilities may also have particular health problems and some may need extra support to take advantage of important health services. In the Royal Borough of Kingston such help is provided by the Connect clinic at the Wolverton Centre and Your Healthcare.
