The Mayor 'ROCKS' at Chessington to launch this year's Brochure

The Mayor of Kingston, Councillor Ian McDonald, joined staff and pupils of Chessington Sports Centre and Community College to launch this year's brochure at Chessington Rocks, the fantastic new Climbing Wall in Chessington Sports Centre.

The Active Summer 2009 brochure is packed with ideas to keep children and young people of all abilities up to 19 years active and busy throughout the Summer Holidays, come rain or shine. Activities in the brochure range from drop-in-sessions, sports courses, playschemes and things that the whole family can take part in, all within a safe environment. The brochure is available now in libraries, Guildhalls, Tourist Information Centre & leisure centres.   • Active Living Passports and Walks around the borough maps are free to residents within the Royal Borough of Kingston aged over 45. Passport holders are rewarded for exercising with incentives and prizes, are kept informed and supported and are invited to special events.
