We have recently changed payment providers in order to comply with Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI-DSS).
Not only is the new payment system fully compliant with PCI-DSS, it has the added advantage of being much simpler to use for making Council Payments. You now no longer need to login prior to making a payment, you just need your account number or invoice number (and your card details of course).
If you relied on storing your account number within your online payment system profile, you can still access this number by logging into that system and selecting My Stored Account Information. Please make a note of your number for future reference.
A number of services still require you to login / register in order to process the payment. These services include the following:
All online card payments are protected by Secure Socket Layer (SSL) with an encryption key length of 128 bits, which is the highest level commercially available. Your payment card details are directly processed by the Payment Management Division of Capita Software Services, a leading provider of secure online payments services to local government, and are not collected or accessible by the Council or any other bodies.
Capita Software Services' online payment management solutions are independently and rigorously security assessed, and are certified by Visa and MasterCard as a Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) Level 1 payment processor.
