Information - 6 Week Zumba Programme

Kingston Council’s Active Kingston Team in partnership with the Learning Disability Service hosted a FREE Sports Taster day for adults with learning disabilities at Chessington Sports Centre on Friday 28th October 2011.
15 participants from across the borough came along to try their hand at a range of sports such as: Boccia, Trampolining, Cricket, Tennis & Zumba. The participants who attended this day will be able to access FREE 6 week programmes in the sports they tried.

Sue Johnson, Sports Development Officer said: ‘Friday showed that sport really can bring people together regardless of their disability/ability. It was fantastic to give these participants the opportunity to try sports that they have never tried before, and the smiles on the participant’s faces were priceless. Kingston Council is dedicated to providing and enabling sports and active recreational activities for Kingston's residents who have a disability/impairment or special need.’
