Mayor's Charity Events

Forthcoming Events from September 2011 to May 2012

The Mayor's Pub Challenge - July to December 2011 - (NOW EXTENDED TO MARCH 2012)

The Mayor, Councillor Patrick Codd, has issued a challenge to the patrons of every pub in the Royal Borough.

Commenting, The Mayor said, “Born Too Soon and Macmillan Cancer Support play important roles in enhancing the quality of life for residents in the Royal Borough.  The patrons of our public houses have always been generous supporters of our charities and particularly imaginative fundraisers themselves. I am inviting our pubs to get behind the Mayoral events and challenging them to be creative and organise their own fundraising events.

"The pub or bar that raises the most cash for my charities before the end of December will receive the Mayor’s trophy and a certificate recognising their contribution.”

The Mayor is committed to attend and support as many of the events organised by pubs as he is able. Anyone organising an event, or who would like more information about the Mayor’s Charities, should contact the Mayor’s Office on 020 8547 5030.

If you have missed the deadline given on the registration form below but your Pub would still like to take part in this challenge, please give the Mayor's Office a call on 020 8547 5027 to make arrangements to add yourselves to our list of pubs taking part.

Please print off and return the Registration Form below if your local pub would like to take part in this fundraising challenge
