Civic Functions

During the course of the year there are a number of civic functions the Mayor attends, the principal of which are as follows:

Freedom Parade for the 256 (City of London) Field Hospital (Volunteers)

In March 2009 the Council conferred Feedom of the Borough status on Kingston's local medic unit based at the TA Centre on the Portsmouth Road.  On Saturday 24 July 2010 a Freedom Parade was held.   Below are a couple of pictures taken at the Parade.

Citizenship Ceremonies

Citizenship Ceremonies in the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames take place in the Council Chamber of the Guildhall once a month on a Saturday morning.  Further details about the ceremonies can be obtained from Kingston's Registrars Office who co-ordinate arrangements.  Their contact telephone number is 020 8547 6190.

The Mayor's Community Awards will be launched in January 2011.
