In March 2009 the Council conferred Feedom of the Borough status on Kingston's local medic unit based at the TA Centre on the Portsmouth Road. On Saturday 24 July 2010 a Freedom Parade was held. Below are a couple of pictures taken at the Parade.

Citizenship Ceremonies in the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames take place in the Council Chamber of the Guildhall once a month on a Saturday morning.
