The Accounts of the Council for the year ended 31 March 2008 have now been audited by the Council’s external auditor.  An unqualified audit opinion was issued by the Audit Commission on 2 October 2008.  The draft accounts were approved by the Audit Committee at its meeting held in June and the final document again on 25 September 2008.  The agenda and minutes of the meeting can be found elsewhere on this web site. These accounts follow the requirements of the 2007 Accounting Code of Practice on Local Authority Accounting, A Statement of Recommended Practice (SORP) published by the Chartered Institute of Public Finance and Accountancy (CIPFA) and set out details of the Council’s income and expenditure for the year ending in March.

The Council’s independent Auditor, is Lindsey Mallors, who is appointed by the Audit Commission. If you wish to contact the auditor her office address is;
