Equality Impact Assessments - Learning and Children's Services
An initial screening of all Learning and Children's Services policies and activities revealed that full equality impact assessments (EQIA) should be carried out on a small number, where it was assessed that the policy and/or activity could disproportionately disadvantage black and minority ethnic groups, disabled children/young people or girls (or boys).
A full EQIA was therefore undertaken to ascertain the extent of this possible negative impact, to determine how to minimise that impact and increase any possible positive impact.
