Equalities

Putting People 1st Logo
The Royal Borough of Kingston Council has a vision to embrace the principles of equality and to make it part of everything that we do.

The Council's Executive approved the revised Equality Scheme on 4 December 2007. The Scheme covers all areas of equalities and includes an action plan which is published as a separate document and will be continually reviewed.

The Equality Scheme and action plans can be viewed as web pages or downloaded as pdf files.

Under the Equality Standard for Local Government, we are systematically examining everything we do to ensure that we treat everyone fairly. Part of this process involves undertaking Equality Impact Assessments on services and policies which may have a disproportionate impact on minority groups. All completed Equality Impact Assessments are available on these pages.
