Canvass of Electors 2008
We are currently recruiting for canvassers to assist the annual registration of electors.
Canvassers are employed to visit a number of properties within a set area and assist householders complete their annual registration form. This "calls" stage of the canvass takes place once each household has already been sent two registration forms but have failed to return either of them.
Canvassers must make at least two visits to each property, but obviously the more visits made to a property the more likely you are to get a form completed. Payment is made per form returned.
At the end of the calls stage, canvassers are then required to hand-deliver a final reminder form to any properties that still have not responded to the canvass.
The calls takes place over a three week period from mid-October to mid November. Canvassers then have one weekend to do the hand-delivery stage.
