We have 48 councillors who are elected every four years by the people who live in the Borough. Our councillors each represent a local ward area in the Borough. There are 16 wards and each ward has 3 councillors. If you are unsure of which neighbourhood or ward you live in, please enter your postcode into our local information search on our Which Neighbourhood/Ward page.
The Council consists of 48 members, 25 Liberal Democrat, 21 Conservative, 1 Labour and 1 Independent .
Members of the Council receive an allowance for their work as councillors. Details of the Members Allowance Scheme can be found at the bottom of this page.
