Council Tax - What to do if you are Moving
To tell us that you are moving, or to advise us of a change in circumstances, please contact the Council Tax section, providing your Council Tax account number and the following information where possible:

Moving Out
If you have moved out of a property that you rented:
- The exact date your tenancy ceased
- The name and address of the landlord or agent
- A forwarding address for the close of account or further correspondence
If you have moved out of a property that you owned:
- The completion date on the sale of your property
- Confirmation of the name(s) of the new owner(s)
- A forwarding address for the close of account or further correspondence
Moving In
If you have moved into a property that you are renting:
- Whether the property is furnished or unfurnished
- The date your tenancy started
- The number of occupiers in the property and their full names
If you have moved into a property that you have purchased:
- The completion date on the sale of the property
- The number of occupiers in the property and their full names
Change in Circumstances:
If your circumstances have changed:
- The changes to your circumstances
- The date the changes took effect
