Treasury Services - Insurance
The Council arranges appropriate insurance cover for its assets and for potential legal liabilities as a local authority. This is achieved by a combination of external insurance cover and an internal Insurance Fund.
Our Insurers
The Council's main external insurer is Zurich Municipal. Zurich Municipal is a specialist branch of the Zurich Group who are very experienced in dealing with local authorities and their insurance policies. The Council also employs the service of an insurance broker for independent advice on insurance matters.
