In compliance with the Local Government Pension Scheme (Management and Investment of Funds) Regulations, a Statement of Investment Principles has been prepared by the Pension Fund Panel.
The statement sets out the principles governing decisions about investment for the Pension Scheme and was drawn up following consultation with appropriate bodies.
The statement has been supplied to the Investment Managers appointed to manage the assets of the Scheme.
Regulation 76A of the Local Government Pension Scheme Regulations 1997 as amended, requires administering authorities to prepare, maintain and publish, a written statement setting out their funding strategy by 31 March 2005. The Council has consulted with employers who participate in the Pension Fund and with help from Hewitt, Bacon and Woodrow, the Pension Fund actuaries, prepared a statement.
