International Partnerships

The International Partnerships section was created in the autumn of 2003.  This reflects the growing importance attributed to international work and its benefits to Kingston. Working with international partners can bring both additional funding and a wider outlook to the Royal Borough of Kingston and its partners.

International Partnerships:

  • Works with Council departments, external partners and Kingston’s international partners to increase exchange and cooperation
  • Develops and supports international projects  with a particular emphasis on education and training, youth, arts and community organisations
  • Supports the Council’s engagement with  ethnic minority groups living in Kingston, in particular the Korean community
  • Develops an international strategy for Kingston

International Partnerships provides:

  • Information on opportunities for international cooperation and contact
  • Information on funding opportunities for international work
  • Advice and support for the inception and development of international projects and activities, including searching for partners
  • Support with funding applications
  • Provision of publications and information materials on the EU and international work
  • Inception and support of events strengthening the international dimension and language learning
