Kingston Town Neighbourhood consists of four Wards; Grove, Canbury, Norbiton and Tudor. Kingston Town is at the heart of the Borough and following
its early beginnings as a Market Town boasting a Royal Charter, Kingston has undergone rapid transformation over the past 20 years. The Town Centre is now internationally renowned for its extensive range of shops and services and is the top shopping centre in the country outside the West End, being the premier retail centre within the South East of England and the 7th largest retail centre in the UK, with its 3.5million sq. ft of retail space.
As a cultural centre, Kingston Town is home to the Guildhall Art Gallery, Kingston Museum Art Gallery, Kingston Museum and the Rose Theatre, which is the country's newest theatre. Kingston University is also based in the Town Centre and the wide range of bars and restaurants on offer contribute to Kingston's thriving night-time economy.
Kingston Town benefits from strong road and rail links via Kingston and Norbiton Stations, as well as extensive bus coverage.
The Kingston Town Neighbourhood Committee membership is made up of the Councillors from the four Wards and is chaired by Councillor David Ryder-Mills, with Vice Chair Councillor Chrissie Hitchcock.
The Committee makes decisions about where you live and is responsible for local issues such as traffic, parking, planning applications, parks and open spaces and local libraries. It also has a Neighbourhood Improvement Fund that is used to fund projects to improve the well-being of the community. The Neighbourhood system gives you the opportunity to have a say and influence decisions that affect you. To find out more, see:

They bring together communities where everyone has the right to be heard and to influence so that the Neighbourhood is a safer, more prosperous and healthy community where people want to live, work or visit and to be proud of.
