The New Year will bring with it two new sports clubs in Kingston:
Club 516
Running every fortnight from Saturday 6 January, Club 516 is a sports club aimed at children with special needs aged between five and 16 years.
On offer is one-and-a-half hours of fun playing basketball, sports hall athletics, mini tennis, mini squash, ‘kwik cricket’, boccia and much more. Club 516 costs just £5 per session, and there is no need to book, although places are limited and will be given on a first come first served basis.
Girls’ Tag Rugby
Also new for 2007 is Tag Rugby for girls aged 10-14 years.
Kicking off on Friday 12 January, the Tag Rugby Centre will run weekly until 24 March (except half-term week) at Kingsmeadow Athletics Stadium, Kingston Road, Kingston upon Thames. Sessions cost £10 and will run between 4.15pm-5.15pm.
Members of the club have a chance of being selected to represent Kingston at the London Youth Games 2007 and also have the opportunity to join Teddington Rugby Club.
