Amy Woodgate House opens its doors to a new age of dementia care

Amy Woodgate House – a £6 million purpose-built residential home for people with dementia - was officially opened on Wednesday 8 April.

It replaces the old Amy Woodgate House which was built in the 1970s. Despite its enviable location overlooking Coombe Wood Golf Course, the old building was dated and no longer fit for purpose.  

The new building in Nigel Fisher Way, Chessington, features larger rooms, en-suite bathrooms and wider doorways for easy wheelchair access.
