Community Plan 2008-2020 – tell us what you think

Community Plan consultation

Kingston Council along with local partners has produced a draft Community Plan for 2008-2020 and people’s views are now welcomed. The Kingston Strategic Partnership, which is responsible for the delivery of services in the Borough, has set out its vision and priorities for the future.

The Partnership would like as many people as possible who live or work in Kingston to contribute their thoughts and ideas during a consultation period which ends Tuesday 15 July 2008.

The draft Community Plan sets out the vision that Kingston Council and its partners has for the Borough and how it plans to build on the successes Kingston has achieved in the past. The Community Plan addresses the following priorities

  • The economy
  • Employment
  • Education
  • Housing
  • Community safety
  • Health
  • Volunteering
  • Independence and well-being
  • The environment and
  • Waste and recycling

It is important that these priorities reflect the needs of everyone who lives and works in Kingston and the final version of the Plan will be produced in September, taking into account feedback from everyone who contributed.
