Kingston - Keeping Kids Safe
Welcome to Children & Family Services
| Information on our Services |
Children and young people are our future and through the provision of effective community services, health, education, social services, environmental and others, we can help shape their futures and enable them to realise their potential.
Our vision is of Kingston as a place where all children, irrespective of ability, can through their daily lives fulfil their potential to become active citizens. To realise this we must ensure that vulnerable children, and those at risk of social exclusion, receive timely, co-ordinated and appropriate care, help and support from all service providers. Kingston's first Children and Young People's Strategic Plan provides further information on Kingston's plans for 2003/06.
In Kingston, we take pride in the quality of services for children and young people and the contribution of education and children's social services to our rating as an "excellent" authority.
