Using Microsoft Internet Explorer 7 for Windows
- Select the Page menu.
- Point to Text Size
- Select your choice of Largest, Larger, Medium, Smaller, Smallest text sizes.
Using Microsoft Internet Explorer 5+ for Windows
- Click on the View menu
- Point to Text Size
- Click on Larger/Largest to increase and Small/Smallest to decrease
Please note if you do not like the colour contrast between background and text, you can follow the first tree stages in Stage 1 described above and select Avoid colours specified on web pages .
Using Netscape Navigator 4+ for Windows
- Click on the View menu
- Point to Text Zoom (100%)
- Click on your preferred text size or click on the smaller/larger options until you find a size with which you are comfortable.
Further Accessibility Preferences, including changing the colours used, can be chosen by clicking on the Edit menu, selecting Preferences and expanding the Appearance category at the top left of the dialog box. Expand the category either by clicking on the + sign or by double-clicking on Appearance.
Using Microsoft Internet Explorer for an Apple Macintosh
- Click on the Edit menu
- From the options menu which appears, select Preferences
- Click on Web Content
- Click on the Show style sheets checkbox to remove the tick
- Return to the list of Preferences
- Click on Web Browser
- Select Language/Fonts
- Select the font size you require
Using Mozilla Firefox
- Click on the View menu
- Select Increase/Decrease Text Size until you are comfortable
or
- Hold down the Control ( Ctrl ) key and press the Plus ( + ) key to Increase
- Hold down the Control ( Ctrl ) key and press the Minus( - ) key to Decrease
Using Opera
- Click on the View menu
- Point to Zoom
- Click on the appropriate size in the list
or
- Hold down the Control ( Ctrl ) key and press the Plus ( + )* key to Increase
- Hold down the Control ( Ctrl ) key and press the Minus ( - )* key to Decrease
* Please note that you may need to use the Plus and Minus keys in the Number Pad of the keyboard rather than the ones which are situated next to the Backspace key.
