Presentation of the 2008 NLPG NSG Exemplar Awards

The 2008 NLPG and NSG Exemplar awards were presented at the Underpinning Transformational Government Conference and exhibition on the 16th October at the Birmingham ICC. The awards paid tribute to the hard work and professionalism of all those involved with the NSG and NLPG. Underpinning Transformational Government Conference, Exhibition and Exemplar Awards Ceremony

The 2008 ‘Underpinning Transformational Government’ annual conference and exhibition was held on the 16th October at the Birmingham ICC, alongside the fourth annual Exemplar Awards Ceremony. With over 340 attendees from local authorities, police, fire services, government, utilities and including exhibiting vendors, this proved to be a popular event.  Nottingham City Council wins prestigious national award

The 2008 Exemplar Award for the ‘Best Use of the National Land and Property Gazetteer (NLPG) data by a partner’, recognises the way Nottingham is using its property data to help planning decisions to be made about flood risk and regeneration around an area that was once heavily used by water-intensive and highly polluting industries.

 Dartford Borough Council receive prestigious national award

Dartford Borough Council has received a prestigious national award in recognition of the creative use it has made of its property data to help in the delivery of its ‘Sustainable Homes Energy Strategy’. John Hayes, Director of IDeA commented “The results have been impressive with real improvements in the quality of life of residents and reduced energy bills.”
