We want Kingston to be one of the very best places in which to live and work. In order to achieve this we are committed to providing high quality services in accordance with our agreed Customer Service Standards.
Our approach to customer service is to provide high quality advice and information in a friendly and professional way, and to provide high quality advice and information in a friendly, professional way and to answer your query first time.
Sometimes this means waiting a little longer than we would like, but it does mean we will go out of our way to get it right first time.
We are also committed to listening to our customers, residents and visitors and using this information to improve our services.
Our Kingston Council Information and Advice Centre is located on the ground floor of the Guildhall 2 building. The service provides access to a full range of council services.
As a more efficient use of space the centre is divided into two sections – a Meet and Greet area and the Main Integrated Advice Centre. Initial enquiries are dealt with by the Face to Face Team who are able to provide a fast track service for simple enquiries and information requests as you enter the facility. If the query is more complicated, specialist staff are on hand to provide a walk in drop in service.
In the main area are a range of facilities designed to deal with every type of enquiry. The new Reception boasts nine interview rooms - guaranteeing privacy for appointments of a sensitive nature - eight service booths where you can access a range of services, a comfortable waiting area, and four self service PCs and telephones which will help to increase your knowledge and confidence when accessing council services online or by phone.
The facility is open from 8.30 to 17.00, Monday to Friday.
