Turn-Around Time
We endeavour to complete and return search applications within 3 working days from day of receipt. Should your search application be very urgent, please telephone 020 8547 4634 and we will try to accommodate your urgent request.
Cancellation of Searches
We regret searches may only be cancelled on the day of receipt. After this time work will have commenced on your application.
Areas Covered
In general we cover the areas of Chessington, Kingston upon Thames, New Malden, Malden Rushett, Surbiton and approximately one third of Worcester Park. To clarify whether a property falls within the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames please telephone us on 020 8547 4634 for confirmation. Alternatively, you can use the Council’s ISIS Online facility to check whether an address falls within the borough.

An Explanation of Official Search Procedures
It is now possible to submit the official search application forms to us in a variety of combinations.
The current forms in use are
- LLC1 Official Certificate of Search (Search of the Local Land Charges Register)
- CON29(R) Enquiries of Local Authority 2007
- CON29(O) Enquiries of Local Authority 2007 edition
These forms can be sent to us independently of each other or in any combination you choose.

Other Access Arrangements
Inspection of the Local Land Charges Register is free of charge. Our opening hours are:
Monday 9.30 am to 11.30 am
Wednesday 9.30 am to 11.30am and 2 pm to 3.30 pm
Friday 9.30 am to 11.30 am and 2 pm to 3.30 pm
No appointment is necessary. However please note these hours are subject to change dependent upon staffing levels and work arrangements.

Assisted Search Service
We will continue to offer our assisted search service. The fees and appointment arrangements are unchanged. See below.

Appointments
If you wish to receive our Assisted Search Service you must first make an appointment as follows:

Access to Con29 R and O Information
The Local Land Charges Section will act as a One Stop Shop for supply of information.
The following information is available either as a whole or in any combination from Local Land Charges:

Applicants not wishing to inspect the Statutory Registers and public documents (free of charge) can purchase a print out from Local Land Charges for a service charge of £3.90.
Total fee for Whole Data Set £17.50
The fee for the whole data set including the Local Land Charges Register is £39.50.

CON29 O (Part 2) Enquiries
£1 each apart from enquiries 6 and 9 which are £5 each. Please see CON29 O Information, Access and Charges Summary sheet.
Applicants not wishing to inspect the Statutory Registers and public documents (free of charge) can purchase the information from Local Land Charges for a fee of £27.
In addition to the above, information held against land and property is available via the ISIS MAPS link below or via a terminal in Environmental Services Reception, Guildhall II.
