The Kingston Walk4Health Scheme arranges regular walks for different levels of fitness across the borough.
Every walk is led by a qualified walk leaders, who have been trained by the National Walking for Health Initiative.
Local led walks offer individuals the chance to improve their health by taking regular exercise whilst getting out and meeting new people. The walks are free and are aimed at people who struggle to or don’t get enough exercise. The walks typically take between 30 to 60 minutes and you can walk at a pace that suits you. Walks are tailored to the needs of the walkers.
You will need to wear comfortable shoes, bring a waterproof jacket (if needed), water and any medication you might need. For your first walk, you'll need to turn up 10 minutes before the start time to fill out a Health Questionnaire. If you have any health concerns it is recommend that you check with your GP before joining any of the walks.
