Street Lighting and Signs

Kingston Council (in partnership with Cartledge) look after the Borough's:-

  • 11,554 Street Light Columns
  • 1,480  Illuminated Signs
  • 918 bollards - Illuminated/Non Illuminated/Solar
  • 390 Beacons - Belisha/Centre Island

This partnership was originally formed in April 2006 for a period of fifteen years, with the option to extend for a further five years.

Six Year Street Lighting Improvement Plan

We are nearing completion of the six year street lighting improvement plan. Please see below for the leaflet that has been (or will be) distributed to householders about  the proposed works.:-

Report a Problem

Non-urgent

To tell us about a non-urgent problem with:

  • street lights
  • illuminated bollards
  • illuminated traffic signs
  • belisha beacons

Urgent or Dangerous

If the fault is urgent or dangerous please call:

  • 020 8547 5002 between 8am-6pm Monday to Friday
  • 020 8547 5800 at all other times

Traffic Lights

Transport for London (TfL) is responsible for maintaining traffic lights. To report a traffic light fault please ring TfL Street Faults Reporting Centre on 0845 305 1234.
