To celebrate the borough's hosting of the Olympic road races, Kingston Council has teamed up with British Cycling to offer ten local Sky Rides for cyclists of all abilities.
The guided rides are ranked as easy, steady, well and strong. Simply choose a ride that suits you and your family and log on to the Sky Ride website to register your place on a ride. The first ride is on 24 june and they run regularly through until 23 September.
Kingston Council’s cycling team, will be hosting a free event in June to celebrate cycling in Kingston.
Bike maintenance and cycling tips: Kingston Gate, Richmond Park, Sunday 7 August, 10am – 2pm
If you’re thinking about starting cycling, or haven’t cycled for a while come along to Kingston Gate where our cycle trainers will spend the day giving cycling enthusiasts advice on how to stay safe on the roads as well as top tips for looking after your bike.
A free Dr Bike will be on hand to carry out adjustments, repairs and offer bike maintenance advice, plus there will be cycling competitions and refreshments.
