We have two e-book collections and an e-audio book collection.
Our newest e-book collection is from Public Library On-line and is available to existing library members. To access the collection you need to have your library number and pin number to hand and click on the Public Library On-line link below.
You need to be a member of Kingston Libraries to use this service, and joining is very easy. To join, come in to any Kingston library with ID which shows your name and current address. Once you have your library card, you are set to go.
Our Ebscohost e-book and e-audio-book (titles from W F Howes)collection is also available. Due to an upgrade by the host service, there has been a few problems which may require you to come back into the library re-register. Shortly Howes will be hosting their own service so the E Audio collection will be moving again and this may require re-registering and downloadiing alternative download software.
To access the Ebscohost e-book and e-audio-book collections you must first create an account using a library computer in one of our branches. You can then, using your own PC view or download titles in the comfort of your own home. You will need to install software on your home PC to download e-audio books.
Important changes coming
Our E-Audio platform is changing at the end of March, and you will need to set up a new account with the new provider to continue accessing E-Audio Books. We apologise for the inconvenience this may cause you, but hope you will find the new platform easy to use. We suggest you use the manual download in the first instance and familiarise yourself with that before downloading the media player.
The link should be made available either this week or early April.
You are now set up to start using our Ebscohost e-book and e-audio book service from home.
All you need to do in future is follow the link from the Kingston Libraries website
