During the summer 2011 the Council ran an extensive consultation and engagement exercise across the borough asking for your opinions on the Boroughs draft Housing Strategy. Many of you got involved in the activities that included face to face discussions, online surveys and attendance at events and meetings.
Overall the response was strongly supportive of the priorities identified in the strategy around addressing the supply and conditions of homes, improving energy efficiency, addressing the range of housing needs in Kingston and maximising the links to areas like health and education.
The final Housing Strategy has now been adopted and can be downloaded on the link below
Thank you to everyone who got involved and provided us with the valuable comments and insight into your views and aspirations for housing in the Borough. We received over 2000 expressions of opinion and a number of amendments were made to the strategy as a result of your comments.
