Kingston Adoption Team provides on-going support to adopted children and their families and offers advice, information and support to adopted adults, birth families and any Kingston resident who is affected by adoption.
As part of a consortium group including the London Borough of Merton, London Borough of Richmond, London Borough of Sutton and Action for Children, a voluntary adoption agency, some of our services are offered jointly*:
- Children’s group* for primary school aged children
- Youth group for adopted children of secondary school age

- Drop-in support group* for parents to attend with or without babies or toddlers
- Drop-in education support group for adopters of school age children
- Bi-monthly advice surgery for parents who are concerned about their child
- Workshops, talks and training sessions
- Annual summer family day for adoptive families
- Twice yearly newsletters and regular email updates
- Counselling for individuals and families
- Counselling and advice for those trying to access birth records and other birth information or for those thinking of contacting a birth relative
