Memorial Benches
Memorial benches are often a way in which people like to remember the life of a loved one.
If you would like to have a bench placed in one of our open spaces it is recommended that the preferred site is visited with a Council or Quadron Services officer to look at locations. The Council and/or Quadron Services can then agree a suitable location to both parties (this may include the removal and replacement of an old or damaged bench).
Due to lack of space we will no longer consider requests for memorial benches to be placed along the Queens Promenade.

Bench, fixings, delivery, brass plaque and installation = £997.88*
10 years maintenance = £273*

Notes
•The cost is for a new bench on a new concrete base. Prices vary if being located on grass or existing concrete base.
•The style of the bench available is pictured above.
•The Council and its partner Quadron Services cannot accept liability for the repair or replacement of the bench due to vandalism or age.
•Due to periodic price rises from suppliers the supply cost of the benches may rise, which will have a bearing on the overall price of the bench.
•In the future the memorial bench may have to be relocated due to unforeseen circumstances, this would be a last resort and the sponsor would be contacted first.
