Children and young people aged 7 to 18 from Kingston upon Thames, Germany, Korea and other countries have taken photographs to show ...
“Why I Love Where I Live”
They were asked to take photographs that show why they love their home town — a place, a sight, their home, their school, or anything that is important to them and to write a comment to explain why they chose this photograph. This exhibition is the result.
Participants come from Kingston’s partner cities Oldenburg in Germany, Gwanak in Seoul, Korea and from Hohhot, Gwanak’s partner city in China. Links through schools, youth groups and projects also include France, Kingston Jamaica, Norway and many others and young people from some of these countries have uploaded their photographs as well.
The website will stay live, so if you are from Kingston or linked to Kingston and would like to submit your own photograph or would like to get your international partners in-volved, the photographs can be uploaded at
Our thanks go to all the young people who participated and the IT team in Gwanak who developed the website. For fur-ther information contact: international@rbk.kingston.gov.uk
