Links with other countries
In addition to the established links with Oldenburg and Gwanak-gu, Kingston Council is keen to work with international partners in transnational projects which support and enhance existing work streams. Several projects have been successfully completed and the exchange of experience and joint working have proved very worthwhile, with lasting results, as well as attracting additional funding.
Schools and the youth service are also particularly keen to prepare young people for life in a global environment as well as enable them to work effectively with partners from all over the world and gain a better insight into what life in other countries and other parts of the world is like.
Funding from the European Union, national and international bodies is available to support many of these links.
