Family Cyclist Training

family of cyclists

It can take some time for a child (and parents!) to adjust to independent cycling when a child outgrows the safety seat on their parent’s bike. This course improves the cycling skills and confidence of the youngster and equips the parents with the knowledge and abilities to accompany their child effectively on quiet roads.

Family courses are run by request at schools, with the support of volunteer parents.

If you would like a course to take place at your child's school, please ask your Head Teacher to contact the Cyclist Training Co-ordinator on 020 8547 5826 or email CCST@rbk.kingston.gov.uk

Bicycle Maintenance

One of the joys of cycling is that it’s one of the most convenient and cheapest ways of getting around.  Being able to carry out your own basic bike maintenance and repairs will save you even more money and hassle. Kingston Council’s Climate Change & Sustainable Travel Team are again running a series of workshops where our qualified instructors show you how to keep your bike safe and on the road.

The courses are held in New Malden on the following Saturdays
