The Core Strategy is part of Kingston's Local Development Framework and sets out the vision, objectives and policies for managing future growth, change and development within the Borough for at least the next 15 years. The Core Strategy will replace a number of policies in the Unitary Development Plan (2005).
Following the publication of PPS12 in 2008, it has been agreed to revise the scope of the Core Strategy to reflect new government advice and be cost effective. This has required a revised timetable to be proposed. Its scope will be widened to incorporate strategic site allocations and development control policies. Therefore, the following DPDs have been deleted from the 2007 Local Development Scheme:
