The KTPN is currently undergoing a period of transition, as the Council works with the Kingstonfirst Business Improvement District to establish the Kingston Town Centre Travel Plan. It is hoped that this will soon have a steering group of businesses, which will benefit greatly from the experience of organisations which were part of the KTPN in its previous form.
The steering group will be open to all businesses and other organisations in Kingston town centre which want to make a commitment to tackling travel issues in the area, work on joint initiatives and have more influence over local transport providers and infrastructure projects.
To discuss the idea and make suggestions of issues that the plan could seek to tackle, please contact us on 020 8547 5938 or travel.plans@rbk.kingston.gov.uk .
The second Chessington Business Working Group was held over breakfast at UniChem on Wednesday 17th September 2008. Building on the success of the first meeting, 17 businesses - ranging in size from 2 employees in the area to 700 - took part.
Attendees discussed the second draft of the freight map and a plan for proposed highway improvements in Cox Lane and Davis Road. The relevant documents, including the minutes, can be downloaded below as PDF files.
Whether or not you were able to make the meeting, comments from local businesses will be invaluable in shaping the projects. Please email or telephone with any comments by Tuesday 7 October 2008.
