This consultation has now ended, this page is for information and reference only.
Since the introduction of a Controlled Parking Zone in the roads to the west of Queens Road, Kingston in October 2007 local residents have been concerned by the amount of displaced parking to their roads in the above area.
Several residents have contacted the Council and two petitions were reported to the Neighbourhood Committee.
After receiving a growing number of these concerns Council Officers arranged a public meeting on Wednesday 2 July to discuss resident's issues and their concerns on parking and safety issues in the above area. At the meeting it was agreed that a consultation should be carried out to seek views on a number of proposals to improve the situation, which included the introduction of a Controlled Parking Zone provision of double yellow lines at all junctions to improve visability, introduction of day time waiting restrictions to remove all day parking and operation of a One-Way system in Liverpool Road and part of Crescent Road to reduce traffice conflict and congestion.
Please see the documents below for further information and a copy of the letter sent to residents of Crescent Road, Liverpool Road, Queens Road, Heatherdale Close, Windmill Rise, Dutch Gardens, Boyd Close and Deer Park Close.
