NEW - DELAYS POSSIBLE

NIGHT WORK ( 8 pm to 6 am)
On Monday 5 July 2010 at B pm in Cromwell Road, Kingston upon Thames, Fulcrum Co. Ltd will be laying a new gas pipe across Crowell Road. During this initial phase all work will be done at night with the excavation being plated to maintain full traffic lanes during the day,
DAY WORK
The actual connection to the gas main will be completed during the day with lane closures. It is anticipated that this phase of the work will start on Wednesday 7 July 2010.
It is anticipated that the work will last 10days, including concrete curing time
Delays likely
Quebec House â new student accommodation build in Cromwell Road, Kingston upon Thames is due to be completed at the end of July 2010 for occupation in August 2010.
The building is currently being heated / cooled by a new gas system using temporary bottle gas, waiting a permanent connection to the Southern Gas Network system. This permanent connection must be made by the end of July prior to occupation.

Portsmouth Road to Balaclava Road |
IN PROGRESS - PLANNED WORKS
18 January 2010 - 13 June 2010
On Monday 18 January 2010 in Portsmouth Road, Souther Gas networks started installing a new gas main, Route within the Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames, Portsmouth Road, Cadogan Road, Maple Road and Balaclava Road. The work in Portsmouth Road will be under temporary signals. The other roads will require road closures. Delays possible
UPDATE1 On Friday 23 April 2010 the new main will be crossing from Maple Road into Balaclava Road. Maple Road and Balaclava Road will be clsoed and temporary traffic signals will reduce Brighton Road to a single alternative traffic flow. An extended all red phase will assist pedestrian movement across the junction. It is anticpated that the work within the Royal Borough of Kingston Upon Thames will bwe compled on 13 June 2010
