Road Safety

Mission

As part of the efforts to reduce the casualties on London’s roads, the team aims to reduce road casualties through a programme of training, education, and awareness initiatives. We work with road users of all ages, with particular emphasis on vulnerable road users such as pedestrians, cyclists, motorcyclists, school children and the elderly.

Local Implementation Plan

Kingston's Local Implementation Plan 2 (LIP2) is designed to help us overcome some of the current transport problems that affect us locally and is a part of the London-wide transport strategy. This will require each person who lives, works and travels in the Borough to think more about the way in which they travel and encourage others to use more sustainable modes of transport. Better road safety and improved public transport, cycling and walking facilities will help us to reach the Council's transport strategy by 2031.

Casualty Statistics

Casualty data is analysed on a yearly basis in order to target specific vulnerable road users. Please see related links to see past casualty statistics.
