The road safety education of very young children is very important.
Although the number of child casualties is falling, we need to continue to educate both children and parents on the basics of road safety.
To help in the education process for very young children we have some sets of play equipment that we lend out to nurseries and playgroups so that children can learn how to cross the road safely.
The sets include a zebra crossing mat and a child size School Crossing Patrol uniform and lollipop. Some sets also include a pair of belisha beacons.
We are happy to announce that a new set of play equipment has arrived! The play equipment is based on the Childrens Traffic Club, and includes CTC baloon character bean bags, baloon character costumes, Police, Fire and School Crossing Patrol uniforms.
If you work in a nursery or playgroup within the Borough of Kingston and wish to book the equipment please contact the Road Safety Education Officer via email road.safety@rbk.kingston.gov.uk or call 020 8547 5865
