‘Four people who got in cars with drink drivers in Kingston and Richmond last Christmas didn’t get home…’
The Road Safety and Travel Awareness Unit is working in partnership with its counterpart at Richmond Borough Council and with the Kingston Police to launch a hard-hitting new campaign for Christmas 2007. The press release and poster are available for download below.
Throughout the year, the Unit works to keep the anti-drink drive message at the forefront of all road users in Kingston, succeeding through a combination of powerful information, publicity and educational campaigns (including school theatre) and effective enforcement by police and courts.
One of the ways that drivers are reminded about such a dangerous activity is by displaying anti-drink drive messages on 120 road side noticeboards around the borough.
