If you require a parking place to be suspended for building works, road works or loading and unloading you will need to apply to the Parking Shop. A minimum notice period of 72 hours is required to allow us to place warning signs within the parking place.
If you need to park for longer than the maximum permitted stay you may apply for a dispensation. A dispensation or waiver is a consent form which must be displayed on a vehicle’s windscreen. It permits a vehicle to wait on a yellow line or parking bay while it is in use in an agreed way. Examples requiring dispensations are:
One week’s notice is advised and details of the vehicle will be required before the dispensation can be issued. A dispensation will only be issued if there is no other reasonable alternative, (e.g. pay & display area or nearby car park) and only if the vehicle is necessary to carry out the work and not parked for convenience.
Dispensations will not normally be granted where there are loading restrictions or in clearways.
Applications and enquiries should be made to the Parking Shop.
