The Council encourages cycling as it is a healthy, economical and efficient means of transport that does not have a detrimental effect on the environment.

We support the improvement of the London Cycle Network (LCN), which is to be completed by 2008. The LCN will provide 3000 kilometres of cycle routes across London, linking all major centres of employment, education and leisure and main railway stations.
We have produced a map showing all the current cycling routes across the borough, as well as proposed routes to be completed in the future. All the routes shown on this map form part of the LCN, which includes the Thames Cycle Route and links to the National Cycle Network.
You can have a copy of the Kingston Cycle Map sent to you by contacting the Road Safety and Travel Awareness Unit on 020 8547 5865 or emailing cycling@rbk.kingston.gov.uk .
You can also have a personalised bike route to and from school or work designed by the Kingston Cycling Campaign. If you are a regular cycle commuter, just send details of your start and finish points, and you will receive a map with your ideal route highlighted on it.
