We are dedicated to provide and enable sports and active recreational activities for Kingston's residents who have a disability/impairment or special need. We offer a comprehensive programme of activities for children and adults as recognised by the London Sports Awards 2007.
Special Olympics Surrey (S.O.S)
Special Olympics Surrey (SOS) aims to provide year-round sports training and competition in a variety of Olympic-type sports for people with learning disabilities, giving them the continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of skills, gifts and friendship with their families, other Special Olympic athletes and the community.

St. Phillips 6th form visit the new National Tennis Centre
On Thursday 29th November 2007 the entire 6th form of St. Phillip's School were invited to a coaching session at the National Tennis Centre's new fantastic new state of the art facility in Roehampton. The centre was built with a view to improving the performance of the top players in Britain and the visit of the 15 young people with special needs was a first for the Lawn Tennis Association.
The 90 minute coaching session was full of fun games as well as mini matches and was thoroughly enjoyed by the students as well as the teachers. The superb facilities and coaching was inspirational and the teachers were hard pressed to get everyone back onto the mini bus at the end of the visit. All the students were given a few little gifts to take away and were even treated to lunch by the LTA in their nutrition concious cafe.
The LTA must be applauded for their recognition and support of Tennis for Special Needs children, and we hope to be able to continue with this mutually beneficial relationship.

On Thursday 30th January 2008 children from Burlington Junior School, New Malden were invited along to a coaching session at the centre.
