Top 20 finishes for kayak slalom, sprint and sailing
The kayak team finished 10th in the sprint and 16th in Kayak Slalom.
The sailing team finished 15th overall.
Harriet Axbey won silver in the 200metre lightening sprint – a real success story, having received the grant for the regatta The Active Team were able to put on free kayak and sailing sessions at Albany Park for complete novices. Harriet had done some kayaking as a cub scout but nothing since then. The youth club at Albany Park built up her confidence enough on the river for her to achieve a medal at the Regatta
